If you choose to host a conference at Rill you will be assured of a professional, friendly & flexible approach. It doesn't matter how big or small your conference or event is, we only take one client at a time so when you book, Rill becomes your own personal conference venue in South Devon.
Our venue facilities include:
- A Main Hall accommodating up to 80 conference delegates theatre-style
- A second room of similar size for dining or discussion plus a further smaller meeting room
- Plenty of break-out space, inside & out
- Multimedia equipment & internet connection throughout
- 19 well-appointed bedrooms
The Long Hall
A 100 square metre hall (measuring 19m x 5.2m) with vaulted roof.
It has natural oak flooring and under-floor heating.
It is fully equipped with an audio-visual presentation system with computer link up facility.
The room can accommodate up to 80 delegates theatre style, but also works well for smaller groups requiring a different seating layout.
We are happy to arrange any type of layout to fit your individual requirements
Dining & Sitting Hall
A 90 square metre hall (measuring 16m x 6m) with original beamed roof.
A variety of seating arrangements can be arranged for dining to fit your requirements.
There is also plenty of comfortable soft seating which can be used for relaxing around a large wood burning stove.
The hall is paved in natural limestone floor with under-floor heating and is full of natural daylight.
Small Meeting Room & Reception Hall
Small meeting room:
A 35 square metre room, carpeted with under-floor heating. The room is ideal for meetings and small workshops & has a warm and intimate atmosphere.
It can also be used as breakout space for group work from the Main Hall.
The Reception Hall:
Light and spacious with natural limestone flooring and stunning feature staircase, this area has flexible seating arrangements to accommodate your individual requirements.
It too is frequently used as a break out area for smaller groups from the Main Hall.
Outside Space
There are extensive grounds at Rill that can be used for outside activities if required.
There is also plenty of outdoor seating so that guests can enjoy eating or working outside in the warmer months.
Alternatively the panoramic views can simply be admired during break times.
There are a number of marked paths around the estate for guest to wander at their leisure.
Conference Rates - Day Conferences
Our standard package includes:
- Venue Hire from 9.00am - 5.00pm
- Tea, coffee & infusions x 3
- Buffet lunch
- Projector, screen, computer link-up
- Personal service throughout the day
- £38 per delegate based on a minimum of 25 delegates

Conference Rates - Residential Conferences
Our standard 24 hour Residential Conference package includes:
- Venue Hire from 9.00am - 9.00am the following day
- Teas, coffees & infusions x 3
- Buffet lunch & two course dinner
- Overnight accommodation & full spread continental breakfast
- Projector, screen & computer link up
- Personal service throughout the day
- £110 per delegate based on a minimum of 25 delegates
